WELCOME: We warmly welcome you to our services in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We ask God’s blessings upon you as we join together to praise and honour Him and as we have fellowship one with another. If the Lord has done something special in your life, you are encouraged to share this with the congregation during our Testimony Time. To those who are visiting, a special welcome and thank you for being here. Please record your visit in our Visitor’s Book at the notice board, especially if you would like our Pastor or one of our Elders to call on you. Then, join us after the service for a cup of tea or coffee and some warm, friendly fellowship.
TEA DUTY: 27th May and 3rd June – de Klerk/Nicholas and Helen.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY: To Eugene le Roux, Chandré Strydom and Sean Hayward for today, Connie Garstman and Natalie Else (28th), Vida Cronjé, Ruan Schroder and Sue Wright (30th), Sheugnet Hill (31st) and Elvoine Swarts (1st June). God bless you all on your special days.
CALLING ALL NEWCOMERS! Time is running out for you to put your name down for our Newcomer’s Lunch on Sunday, 10th June. All those who are new to our church and have not attended such a lunch before are encouraged to put your names on the list at the notice board and enjoy a time of good food, fellowship and interaction with other folk from our church. You will have the opportunity to find out more about the functioning of our church and its various activities, so please join us.
YOUTH ALPHA: Please continue to pray for the Youth Alpha course that is being held on Friday evenings. If you feel that you can help in any other way such as providing food, please contact either Bruce Hendry (082 771 1829), Jacky Hendry (072 384 4584) or Monique Vercueil (044-382 5853).
Stay away from anger... It hurts only you!
If you are right then there is no need to get angry…
if you are wrong then you don't have any right to get angry.
CLOTHES, FOOD AND BEDS NEEDED: A reminder that, if you would like to donate food for the needy, we have a deepfreeze for frozen meals and a box in the foyer for dry and canned foods. With the change in the weather, warm clothing as well as blankets would also be greatly appreciated. Some folk are desperately in need of beds and mattresses. If you can donate, please contact Chris Tait on 044-382 4584. Thank you.
Patience with family is love, Patience with others is respect,
Patience with self is confidence and Patience with GOD is faith.
CAN YOU HELP VENUS? My sister-in-law is waiting to be placed in a home, but she will not be able to take her little dog, Venus, with her. Venus is affectionate, loyal and an alert little guard dog who would make an excellent companion for a stay-at-home couple or single person. If anyone can offer a safe, loving home to this cute, 9 year old Maltese Poodle/cross, please contact Wendy Rademeyer on 076 472 8164.
